With a global pandemic reigning chaos over social gatherings, a lot of races have been cancelled, but have no fear! The Annual Turkey Day 30A races are still on. Hosted in Rosemary, the ninth annual 10K, 5K and 1 mile fun run are going virtual. That means is you can register for the event here, and then you complete your chosen event distance any day between November 21st and November 29th. Submit your results online and don’t forget to tag #30a10k on your social media posts! After you’ve logged your results, you’ll get your race medal and t-shirt in the mail during the month of December. (Note: There will be no in-person packet pickup on November 25. All race materials will be mailed to you on December 1.)
While it won’t be the same as years past, you can still follow the same path for your race (find those here) and plan to run with some of your socially-distanced buddies! Make it a family event, or just grab some friends and run six feet apart from each other. Feel free to still dress in your best turkey costume or just sport your favorite turkey hat. Even with the COVID modifications, it’s sure to remain one of the top 5 Thanksgiving Day races in America! Be sure to follow them on Facebook to get their motivational posts to keep you going through the training.
