After spending nearly a year researching what new amenities the top golf communities were bringing to their members, The Clubs by JOE announced that it has been working on a plan for investing over $40 million in the proposed development of Camp Creek Lifestyle Village.
“Our interest in planning these new offerings at Camp Creek is to provide our Members with a modern world-class facility that they and their guests will enjoy for years to come,” says Patrick Murphy, senior vice-president of Operations for The St. Joe Company. Whats equally as exciting is that as a homeowner at Grace Point the Lifestyle Membership will include everything the expansion has to offer!
The proposed expansion seeks to include something for everyone: new athletic courts, a health and wellness facility, a restaurant and of course, a 6,500 sf pool complete with zero-entry kids pool, water spray features, a tower slide, and a 270-foot lazy river. The new pool environment is designed to accommodate over 200 chaise lounges. A large shade pavilion. and custom cabanas are also in the plans. Members can also take advantage of the proposed sixty-foot, adult-only fitness pool.
The restaurant concept is said to be a smokehouse with a Creole influence, with barbecue as the signature dish. Members and their guests will have indoor and outdoor options for dining including a fire pit, making it the ideal place to enjoy that nightcap or cocktails at sunset.
The expansion includes a Kids Club where the younger generation can enjoy games like ping pong, foosball, stand-up shuffleboard or pinball. A playground area and smaller scale vintage arcade will complete the area.
Rounding out the is a retail component including the shop, The Outfitters, is designed to be located on the first floor of the proposed new inn and offer clothing, shoes, branded merchandise, instructional videos, books and more in addition to its supply of golf supplies.
The expansion should be completed in late 2020 and will set the standard for the remaining development site.
